So who is he?

musician
Roger Hurrell has been active in Christian communication since the 1960’s. As a singer/songwriter he helped pioneer contemporary Christian music in the UK and spent 19 years “on the road”, touring extensively in Britain and mainland Europe. During that time, as one half of “Roger & Jan”, he made two groundbreaking albums, “Movin’ Over, Movin’ On’” and “Question”.

He can still be persuaded to dust off his precious Zemaitis six-string guitar and do “An evening with…” — beware!
broadcaster
For six years he wrote, produced and presented, “Sound Out” for BBC Radio London, their only ever contemporary gospel music programme. He was also a regular contributor to BBC Radio 2 with “Songs that say something” and “Pause for Thought”.
writer
As a songwriter he has penned and performed dozens of songs, including “Three Crosses”, “Thirty Three”, “For the Taking” and “The Mountain Song”. Among his children’s songs there’s “God has Promised” and “The Building Song” (Everybody’s Building). He also co-wrote the Musical “Rock” based on the life of Peter.
Recently he has devoted more time to the written word and that’s how “Roger’s Random Jottings” began to appear. They have proved so popular that they are now on offer for other churches to reproduce.
